14-day money-back guarantee
If CPDProof isn’t right for you, email us within 14 days of purchase for a full refund, no questions asked. A refund cancels the hours you bought and any certificates issued from them, so those certificates stop verifying.
Will my professional body accept this?
For verifiable hours, accounting bodies generally look for two things: the learning was relevant to your work, and there is independent evidence you completed it.
That second part is where self-directed learning usually falls short. CPA Ontario, for example, lists “self-study that does not involve an examination” as unverifiable. CPA BC says online learning needs “a certificate of completion or an assessment with a passing grade” to count as verifiable.
Every CPDProof certificate gives you:
- A quiz you passed, scoring 75% or more, on that specific video or article
- A certificate showing the source, the date and the hours
- A public verification link and QR code that anyone, including your body, can check
- Your own note on why the learning was relevant to your work
We can’t guarantee acceptance: your body assesses each activity individually, including its relevance to your work. So far, no member has told us a certificate was rejected.
How many CPD hours do you need?
| Body | Each year | Over three years | Verifiable |
|---|---|---|---|
| CPA Ontario | At least 20 | 120 | Half: 10 a year, 60 over three years |
| CPA BC | At least 20 | 120 | Half: 10 a year, 60 over three years |
| ACCA | 40 units | — | 21 units a year |
| ICAEW | 20 to 40, by category | — | 5 to 30, by category |
| CPA Australia | At least 20 | 120 | Ethics hours must be verifiable |
| CA ANZ (Chartered Accountants) | At least 20 | 120 | 90 of the 120 |
A 120-hour, three-year requirement averages 40 hours a year. Summarised from each body’s published rules. Always check your own body’s requirements before relying on them. Read the full requirements for your body.
What the same hours cost elsewhere
Professional: 50 verified hours for $69. That is only $1.38 an hour.
Paid CPD courses and webinars charge by the session, and a single day’s course can cost more than a year of CPDProof. With CPDProof you learn from content you would choose anyway, and pay only to prove it.
Pricing questions, answered
Do my certificates expire?
No. Certificates you earn stay verifiable. Unused hours are valid for 12 months from purchase.
How are CPD hours counted?
Videos count for their actual length. Articles are counted at 100 words per minute, a reasonable pace for technical reading.
What if I fail a quiz?
Try again. Each attempt generates a new quiz from the same content.
Can I use CPDProof for US CPE?
Not at the moment. US CPE rules generally require courses from pre-approved sponsors, so CPDProof certificates aren’t designed for US CPE.
Which plan should I choose?
If you only need to close a gap before your deadline, choose Essential. If you want your whole year documented in one place, consider Professional. If you are catching up on a three-year requirement or report to more than one body, choose Unlimited.
