Hi, I'm Hasan. CPDProof was born from personal frustration. As a member of ACCA, ICAEW, and IIA, I was tired of the end-of-year CPD scramble—boring webinars and overpriced courses that barely touched what I actually wanted to learn.

Like many professionals, I was already learning constantly through articles and YouTube videos that genuinely excited me and advanced my career. But this passionate, self-directed learning didn't "count" for CPD because there was no way to verify it.

Will my professional body accept this?

For verifiable hours, accounting bodies generally look for two things: the learning was relevant to your work, and there is independent evidence you completed it.

That second part is where self-directed learning usually falls short. CPA Ontario, for example, lists “self-study that does not involve an examination” as unverifiable. CPA BC says online learning needs “a certificate of completion or an assessment with a passing grade” to count as verifiable.

Every CPDProof certificate gives you:

  • A quiz you passed, scoring 75% or more, on that specific video or article
  • A certificate showing the source, the date and the hours
  • A public verification link and QR code that anyone, including your body, can check
  • Your own note on why the learning was relevant to your work

We can’t guarantee acceptance: your body assesses each activity individually, including its relevance to your work. So far, no member has told us a certificate was rejected.

For text-based content, we calculate CPD hours based on an average reading speed of 100 words per minute, which is a reasonable pace for technical material. For video content, we certify based on the actual video duration.

Yes, certificates are verifiable by third parties. Each certificate includes a public verification code and a QR code, allowing independent verification directly through our system.

We use a time-tested method used in schools and universities for centuries—quizzing. Our AI quiz system generates quizzes on randomly selected parts of the content, providing an objective assessment of comprehension.

Acceptance depends on your professional body and whether the learning is relevant to your work. CPDProof provides assessment and evidence for each activity, but cannot guarantee acceptance. See the evidence and guidance.

No, we do not host or own any content. When users submit content, we temporarily fetch the text or transcript to generate quizzes. Once the quiz is generated, we do not retain any information. Our system is content-agnostic and can process any article or YouTube video as long as it has text or a transcript.

Our quiz generator creates four questions per content, and users must answer at least three correctly (75%) to pass. Users can retry as many quizzes as they like on the same content, with AI generation creating different quizzes each time for variety and fairness.
